If you've been looking for an excuse to book a flight to Colorado next month, here it is.
April 19 — Wiz Khalifa's "420 Eve On The Rocks"
Wiz has been throwing this annual pre-420 party at Red Rocks Amphitheatre since 2015, and it's become one of hip-hop's most iconic recurring events. This year's lineup: 2 Chainz, Berner (the Cookies founder), The Underachievers, Chevy Woods, and DJ Bonics opening the night. Red Rocks at sunset with 9,500 people who are all there for exactly the same reason. You already know what the vibe is.
Tickets are on AXS. Don't sleep on it — this one sells.
April 20 — Mile High 420 Festival
The next morning (or afternoon, more realistically), Denver's Civic Center Park hosts the Mile High 420 Festival from noon to 9pm. They're expecting 50,000 people. The entire downtown shuts down for it. Past lineups have included Lil Wayne, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Lil Jon, and The Original Wailers. The 2026 artist lineup hasn't dropped yet, but it will.
It's 21+ only and the park is right next to the State Capitol, which feels poetically appropriate for a cannabis celebration in one of the first states to legalize.
Denver on 420 weekend is basically a national holiday with better food trucks. If you're going to do it once, this is the year.
